Life in the twenty first century
Rife with bitterness and bile
Polluting and corrupting the lives therein
There’s no escaping the vileness of it
It permeates the very core of our cells
Permitted or otherwise
The very air carries the pungent stench of evil
Sadness, unrest, rage, atrocities, mindless acts
On and on it goes with no respite in sight
The human affinity for destruction becomes an art
Despite the intermittent nature enforced pause of human carnage
The very nature of the species finds new and albeit creative ways to manifest
Homo sapiens: The Virus of Terra. Trans-morphing all things to filth
Their very selves not exempted from this perverted alchemy
Ironically doing very little to quell the little sparks of destruction within
What force of nature creates such contemptuous heathens?
Does any such creator exist?
Are these beings a random natural coincidence?
Or a cancer afflicting the one planet that sustains them
Maybe a foreign virus, injected into the “perfect” habitat
Hell bent on destroying its host, rendering it obsolete
The questions rage on and on, burning a path through time
What exactly is the purpose of the human race on earth?
Multiply unchecked?
Consume replenished?
Or self-implode as some sort of celestial experiment
Most of these questions shall go unanswered through the eons
If these beings persist at this course however, one fact remains a certainty
The renegade life-form shall annihilate itself long before the planet breathes its last!
If only we had answers to these questions, then maybe just maybe the world would be a better place 🥺
