Nostalgia

I miss "speeding" down Lekki Epe Expressway late at night jamming to SDC's "Popping Again" on repeat. I miss eating wings in that back corner of W-Bar, drinking vodka and watching the patrons go from sane to tipsy to flat out drunk I miss the hot sands of takwa bay, watching bikini bodied hot chicks riding quad bikes, drinking coconut water straight out the fruit, listening to kids sing reggae songs, quietly watching the flow of people come and go, watching the sunset and the adrenaline filled speed boat ride at night I miss sitting at FarmCity's lagoon side bar with Kachi, drinking heineken, making up stories for the "tush" people sitting in the lounge and occasionally watching the unbounced "ladies of the night" jostle subtly for admirers while waiting for my catfish. I miss sitting at the overhead section of Sailor's with the guys listening to the sonorous voice of the live band's lead singer while simultaneously feeling My worries and troubles fade into the night air I miss the excitement of the LagosOnABudget monthly BarCrawl, hopping from bar to bar, strategizing with Tomisin, Bantering with Ore, Complimenting Temitope, hanging out with the crew, playing drinking games, meeting new people, having alcohol induced fun, great conversations and learning new sh!t I miss sitting with Gogo at the open air balcony at back of his Pops crib, rolling up, smoking up, gazing up at the stars talking about Alien civilizations, conspiracy theories, the purpose of life, futility of religion and chewing on the munchies killing Milo and Soft bread snack I miss Pelumi's wifi and netflix, Paul's dope ass haircuts, iya calabars fried yam, iya Uche's jollof rice, that yoruba woman's "eja kika" riddled "obe ata", unilag girls walking around aimlessly I miss movie sets, grouchy actresses, over confident actors, the lights, camera, action, the costumes, the thrills I miss arguing about EVERYTHING with Vosa and Toro, eating LASCOFIS Amala, drinking at AY's, watching Dayo and Wale "hunt", teasing AB with his mixed heritages, half caste "lai" skin and girl choices, asking Toye about her crazy friends, eating "Morientes" hangout cooking, disturbing Onyeka and Showdop for fun, Peter's booze induced "brilliance", Kachi's Mature Gist, Stanka's escapades. In miss Ikenna's dope ass Drik Parties, chilling with Damola, Ehiz, Tegs, Jatto, Nessa and "Ngige", the clothes, the glam, the fashion, the memories... I miss going to work, hating every second but going again the next day because... Bills I miss getting sozzled on bottles of Origin bitters, Desmond's cooking watching football with Osari and Ronnie, bitching about Manchester United and winning on bet9ja (sometimes 😁) But enough about me....
